Many experts claim we're experiencing the "Golden Age" of American whiskey, particularly bourbon whiskey. The increased demand over the past 20 years has lead to fully staffed distilleries and increased attention to detail. The result has brought us to the modern bourbon renaissance and some of the highest quality releases we've seen in the history of the craft.
Louisiana has always played a big role in the bourbon history. Historically, New Orleans was the biggest market for bourbon. As the distilled, clear bourbon was packaged in oak barrels and took the long trip down the Mississippi River from Kentucky, its color changed to an amber hue with a pleasant, complex taste. The modern, aged bourbon was born, by accident. Just another reason for us to be proud to be from Louisiana.
